Why do I need fire training? this is a question we are asked regularly, we answer this question with our own questions

Q - You have fire extinguishers installed? A - yes of course

Q – More importantly do all your staff know how to use them? A - ?......

After these questions have been answered (or not in most cases) people realise the need for fire training, it is important that ALL staff are regularly trained in the need & use of fire extinguishers, MORE IMPORTANTLY IT IS FIRE SAFETY LAW.

Imagine a small controllable fire which could be extinguished by a trained employee becoming a disaster simply because they did not know how or were afraid to use a fire extinguisher (which you have paid good money to have installed & serviced!!!!)

Our fire training services give the confidence & know how on all aspects of use of fire extinguishers, plus tips & advice on your fire evacuation procedures.

The fire training course’s include video conferencing with a power point presentation, and live fire demonstrations for up to 15 employees and is an ideal way to train your staff.

This will give your personnel the opportunity to operate fire extinguishers on a controllable live fire scenario, ensuring that in the event of a fire they have had sufficient training to deal with the situation.

We are the only company who use an environmentally friendly training rig in the area.

Our Fire Safety Officers have a minimum of 10 years experience in one of the Fire Services and are associated with the Institute of Fire Engineers, the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers and have professional Fire Prevention and Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) qualifications.

Basic Fire Safety Awareness Course:

  • This course can be provided on your premises with minimum disruption to your workforce.

Fire-Tec Fire & Security Limited will provide a laptop computer and radio controlled mouse, a video, a projector, a projector screen and various fire extinguishers for a professional presentation. All that will be required from the customer is a suitable venue for the training to take place.

Fire Warden Fire Safety Training Course:

This course can be provided on your premises with minimum disruption to your workforce and will prove valuable for staff with specific responsibilities (Fire Wardens) within your company.

Questionnaires and Videos

  • The training is supported by a series of questionnaires and videos. Each delegated will receive a certificate confirming the completion of training.

Practical Live Fire Training

  • The presentation is followed by a comprehensive practical fire extinguisher handling program termination with a “real” fire training exercise on a portable, environmentally friendly, propane fuelled fire trainer (maximum 15 personnel)

Its recommended 30% of staff are trained as fire wardens
